1992年愛知県生まれ。岐阜県在住。多摩美術大学映像演劇学科を中退後コンピュータ音楽を独学。情報科学芸術大学院大学［IAMAS］修士（メディア表現）。
2010年代初頭から表現活動を開始。映画のためのサウンドデザインや電子音響音楽で評価を得る。
2023年、これまでの活動を総括し、「誉田千尋」名義で活動を再開。音と環境への「批判的な没入」をテーマに、音響再生産メディアを使用した作品を制作している。
Chihiro Homuta (born 1992 in Japan) is an artist, musician, and sound designer based in Japan. He began his sound-focused creative practice in the early 2010s, garnering acclaim for his electroacoustic music compositions and his collaborations with independent film directors in Japan as a sound designer. Since 2023, he has been presenting installations featuring “passive” audience interaction, algorithmic sound generation systems, theater-based audiovisual works, and more, all focused around critical perspectives on the contemporary social and technological environment. He draws on sound studies and environmental and political philosophy, aiming to create art as a critique that cuts apart immersive audio media and sutures it into society.
